Cooking Conversions is a cooking calculator for unit and ingredient-density conversions. This policy explains the information handled by the app and this website.

Information stored on your device

Your calculator history, Favorites, app settings, language, theme, and Premium access cohort are stored locally on your device. We do not require an account and do not operate a server that syncs this information between your devices.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand app usage and improve reliability. Analytics may include app and device information, screens viewed, interaction events, and limited conversion metadata such as unit or ingredient identifiers. We do not send recipe text, purchase receipts, RevenueCat user identifiers, or your locally stored History and Favorites to PostHog. PostHog processes this information on our behalf under its privacy notice.

Purchases

Apple processes payment for the paid iOS download, which includes every feature. Google processes payment for the optional Android Premium upgrade. On Android, we use RevenueCat to validate that purchase and restore Premium access. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, store and device information, product and transaction information, and entitlement status. We do not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat describes its processing in its privacy policy. Purchases remain associated with the store account used to buy them.

Website and support

Our hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and access time to deliver and secure this website. If you email support, we use the information in your message to respond and retain it only as reasonably needed for support and legal records.

Your choices

You can remove locally stored app information by clearing the app's data or deleting the app. Purchase records are controlled by Apple or Google. The Android Premium purchase may be restored through the app while signed in to the same Google Play account. You may contact us to ask about information you sent directly to support.

Children, changes, and contact

Cooking Conversions is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the app changes and will revise the effective date above.
